More than 60 activities for Child Month 2019

The Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA) commemorates Child Month 2019 with more than 60 planned island wide activities, under the theme “Encourage, Enable, Include Me!”

This year the Agency is placing an even greater emphasis on child protection and family empowerment by staging activities geared at impacting children, families, and communities. In keeping with the Child Month theme, several of these activities will be targeted to children with special needs.

Our aim is to additionally use this period to strengthen our child protection campaign, #EveryChildDeservesProtection, with emphasis on child protection strategies, anti-bullying mechanisms as well as promoting alternatives to corporal punishment.

The planned activities include: Community Sessions, Anti-Bullying School Tour & Murals, Empowerment Workshops for Adolescents, Child Management Day, Education Week, Missing Children Awareness, Child Protection Outreach initiatives in schools, Parenting Sessions, and Street Children intervention, among others.

We thank you for your support so far, and ask that we continue to be ambassadors of the child protection message. Please also support  as many of the Agency’s Child Month activities as possible.
